Intervention Works
Our approach in this project was to develop a series of interactive storybooks - where children could listen to stories being read by animated characters; and where they could interact with the text of the stories and with characters in the stories. The whole point here was to provide multimedia support to children with literacy problems - in a cognitively appropriate reading model.
This was a large project for which we used our CloudNine Content Authoring System. This was crucial to our ability to deliver 32 CD-ROMs within a very tight time frame. It enabled us to develop a rich set of interactions and apply them dynamically to different books and content.
The project certainly demonstrated our CloudNine CAS at its best.
