Nine Lanterns WINNER with Commonwealth Bank Ergonomics & Manual Handling
Supporting a initiative aimed at driving the number of workplace related injuries to a target set by the board, Nine Lanterns created a series of learning experiences delivered over the internal LMS. Winner of the 2010 eLearning Industry Corporate Award. The solution was an exploratory, 3D environment utilising situated learning methodologies and constructivist approaches to learning activities. This project used real actors, shot against green screens, then super-imposed into the 3D environments. The learner was given access to a wide range of tools and scaffolds to assist in their development, such as a notebook (PDA Device), policy documents and help features.
The judges found the Commonwealth Bank Ergonomics & Manual Hangling project to have had instant engagement, interactivity and used excellent design principles leading to the effective use of technologies. They felt the detailed outcomes from this learning solution clearly demonstrate the value added to the business with very effective delivery, excellent learning design and content clearly and succinctly expressed.
