The learning and development toolkit

13 Nov 2009

“In my learning strategy, given our culture and our vision, how do I mix formal and informal learning and how should it be delivered?”

The answers to this lie in knowing when and how to apply a suitable learning model for your needs in the context of your organisation’s culture – knowledge that empowers you to get the maximum ROI on your people development dollar.

Recently we partnered with TMI , a global leader in creating behavioural change, creating a seminar to help people answer this question and assist in releasing additional value from their people development budgets.

We demonstrated how to identify the ‘best practice’ learning approach for your situation and understand why these choices are made.

The L&D strategy toolkit further enabled people to:

  • Assess their place on the change cycle and understand their organisation’s readiness for behavioural change
  • Apply formal and informal learning principals to their learning strategy
  • See how e-learning’s role  has evolved from static, “show and tell”, to a toolkit capable of changing behaviour
  • Measure their organisations position on the eLearning landscape
  • Take away hints & tips for devising  the right training strategy

As HR, Change and L&D professionals change is constant. Developing and training people to be continually evaluated, refined and reframed to take advantage of new opportunities and technology offers has to be a key priority in the 21st century. So, we want to be sure we have all the tools at hand to help all our clients make the difficult decisions, based on international best practice.
