Museum breathes prehistoric life into Christmas card engine

18 May 2009

Museum Victoria saw the 2008 Christmas Card and liked it that much, they wanted to use the engine as their default audience contributed picture making tool. The first content they've pushed through it is to complement their new Dinosaur Walk with a 'Build a Dinosaur ' game.

Our engine was chosen above the others because the Museum though the resize/stretch/rotate feature on the illustrations were the most intuitive they'd seen. We're looking forward to seeing what else put the engine to use for, perhaps a build your own bug? Or a virtual melbourne landscape.

If you go into the Museum, you'll see a few other pieces of work recently completed in teh Dinosaur Walk - the interactive screens next to the display were a multi-touch screen project in Flash, did you know that the Pteranodon on display could probably swim, and would have made ‘belly landings’ on the water, holding its wings high to avoid damage? No? Well get yourself down there for an educational great fun day out.
