Does that make us Twits?

We're all of a Twitter...loving the 140 chr format, blog posts have a small barrier that means so much. Follow our little incidents here: http://twitter.com/ninelanterns . 

We've discovered that we Tweet, are Tweeters but have yet to establish a collective noun. A fatuity of Tweeters perhaps?

How can this augment learning? Well, it's many to many so like the Treehouse community platform  it supports the dea that people learn better from each other. It's also engaging, and accessible. The small chunks allow for rapid publishing and consumtion while the links allow for something deeper to be available. Maybe tying forum posts to Twitter as teasers for a community to avoid having to log in or load an RSS would increase participation?

It's also very democratic, followers can subscribe & unsubscribe very easily so the onus is on the author to compel their audience - they're very much not captive!
