But, who is Scott Mahoney? Well, he is one of Australia's most seasoned eLearning and business analyst professionals. Having implemented eLearning in some of the leading medium and large enterprises, his experience will be a fantastic asset as we continue to expand our content, LMS and community platform offeringsd into the corporate market.
Bio: Scott Mahoney is one of Australia’s most experienced eLearning professionals, having completed over 100 corporate eLearning implementations worldwide over the past 10 years. His clients have included many globally recognised businesses, with services encompassing strategic learning consulting, systems implementation and content development projects touching hundreds of thousands of users resulting in millions of online course completions.
Currently director of Nine Lanterns, Scott is also a consultant encompassing all aspects of learning content and systems consulting, design, delivery and management services. A 19 year veteran of the banking & finance industry, Scott uses many of the risk and analysis models developed in managing business and financial risk for small to medium enterprises in the creation, alignment, management and cost/benefit analysis of learning strategies with the delivery of tangible business outcomes.
Historically, Scott was instrumental in establishing one of the first widely successful corporate eLearning environments in Australia, via the holistic deployment of a corporate learning portal with a major Australian financial institution. Over a 2 year period, this environment reached over 64,000 users across 9 countries delivering over 2.5 million course completions, resulting in a direct ROI in excess of $17 million. As a result of this success, Scott established and ran one of the first true commercial eLearning ASP enterprises over the next 6 years. Scott’s background in business risk analysis and extensive experience in transforming businesses into sustainable, successful ventures helped to achieve compound annual growth in excess of 38% year on year.
A former training facilitator, courseware developer and systems implementer, Scott is active on the eLearning speaking circuit, is the author of several leading eLearning models and is a regular columnist for a number of business magazines.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma of Adult Education, together with numerous post graduate qualifications.
