Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES Online) - IELTS Preparation Course

Nine Lanterns has delivered over 350 hours of content projects for AMES (yes... 350!). Importantly we have also provided this organisation with the capability of maintaining and extending these content products using CloudNine Content Authoring System. Museum Victoria - Discover Your Body Talents

Museum Victoria required a new interactive to be developed for the refurbished Sportsworks exhibition. It was finalised as a screen-based quiz, appearing in the exhibition on two touch screens located in a central display. The client... and their clients... loved it!

Healthline for young people

An educational interactive that explores health resources within the community by allowing students to select specific topics and navigate through a town centre, visiting shops and typical services to locate the community member whom they would like to answer their questions. As well as being able to explore various areas within a "world" and interview the appropriate professionals, the student can store the responses they have obtained and create their own documentary for playback.

Body Image is a set of interactives which encourage students to accept diversity, and understand how the media and society shape and form our ideas and values about our body image. An invaluable tool for the younger generation, these interactives help them expose some of the tricks of the trade which may contribute to false expectations of themselves and peers.

Great Food! Great Health!

The Good Food, Great Health interactives are fun to use, interesting and informative, and relevant to student nutrition today. The student is encouraged to assess and measure their own daily diet against the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI), and discover the importance of good nutrition and a balanced diet to maintaining a healthy body. The interactives provide the student with opportunities to learn about energy values of food, the link between poor nutrition and disease, and how to construct and apply a healthy diet to their own lifestyle.

This group of interactives encourages students to learn about the spread of Buddhism in Korea, explore and to reflect. The example demonstrates a high level of visually rich material backed up with audio. Independent study is supported via a glossary, opportunities to engage at a variety of entry points and individual interest.

These interactives focus on the strategy and "game play" of team sports. IEC3: Directional design

In this series of ten related Learning Objects, learners design chairs, a lamp and a desk for specific purposes and environments. They are guided by a three part feedback loop to reflect on the need to minimise negative and optimise positive effects in the environments in which the objects will be used. The key learning outcome is to create a sustainable product that will contribute to a sustainable future.

The Learning Federation – Online News

Another independent thinking and creative problem solving design that accounts for complex perspectives, real-world problems and multiple ‘correct’ answers. For this literacy series of learning objects, a scaffolded approach encourages learners to acquire confidence in a range of tasks and build their skills over time. Gradations of complexity in the content take the learner from a modeled activity, through to a scaffolded practice task to a final ‘build’ section where they complete tasks as they would in the real-world – without structured support and with individual freedom to make mistakes.
