Nine Lanterns wins a Platinum LearnX award!

Nine Lanterns is thrilled to have received a Platinum award for Best ELearning Development Company in the LearnX Impact Awards 2015. 

Now in it's 8th year, the Impact Awards aim to honour those companies making an impact in Learning and Development throughout the Asia-Pacific region. 

Nine Lanterns has received the award for online learning modules built for APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support) to support their classroom based practical learning. 

Nine Lanterns was also finalists in two other categories, 'Best Interactive Scenario' and 'Best Video'.

New Social Learning tools launched for ScaffoldLMS

Nine Lanterns has launched a new series of Social Learning extensions for ScaffoldLMS which integrates several online learning ‘trends’.

ScaffoldLMS is a fully-hosted, Learning Management System developed by Nine Lanterns. ScaffoldLMS offers a series of extensions tailored to the corporate, healthcare, professional development and education sectors.

The new Social Learning extensions are plugged into the core of ScaffoldLMS giving organisations the tools to highlight learning activity, encourage social interactions and advertise new learning opportunities as a way of motivating learners. 

Nine Lanterns joins Citrix SaaS Adviser Partner Program

Nine Lanterns has joined the Citrix SaaS advisor partner program, allowing integration between Citrix SaaS products and ScaffoldLMS.

Through the advisor program, Nine Lanterns’ clients will be able to access GoToTraining through the API of ScaffoldLMS. Nine Lanterns will also be recognised as an integration partner on the Citrix Integration Marketplace.

ScaffoldLMS is a hosted Learning Management System developed by Nine Lanterns. Based on Moodle, ScaffoldLMS offers a range of extensions which give organisations flexibility to build their LMS for their business needs.

Nine Lanterns is proud to announce it will be exhibiting at the AITD's Annual National Conference in Sydney this coming May. 

The conference has developed a reputation for providing delegates with high quality, dynamic presentations on an exciting range of innovative topics and will be held at the Australian Technology Park on Locomotive Street, Redfearn, Sydney, on May 13th and 14th 2015, followed by post-conference one day workshops on Friday 15th May. 

Nine Lanterns will be showcasing recent work done around social learning, badges and eLearning content using video.

James presents in Utah!

James Ballard, Senior Analyst here at Nine Lanterns, has just returned from Utah in the USA where he facilitated a workshop at the 2015 HETL-SoTE conference. 

The SoTE (Scholarship of Teaching and Engagement) Conference is an annual event held at Utah Valley University (an institution classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Community-Engaged Institution) and is organised by The International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL) and Utah Valley University’s Office of Engaged Learning.

Evan raises over $600 doing a 'Bloody Long Walk'!

Evan Irving-Pease, a Senior Developer here at Nine Lanterns, completed a 'Bloody Long Walk' over the weekend and raised over $600 for the Australian Mitochondrial Society in the process. 

Evan, along with his partner Hayley, was part of a team from Murdoch Children's Research Institute that raised a fantastic total of over $4100. 

The walk was indeed a 'bloody long' one, stretching 35km from Victoria Park to Brighton via Southbank.  It took Evan and Hayley six hours and five minutes to complete it - well ahead of their 7 hours target.

James Ballard to present at upcoming PechaKucha Evening!

James Ballard, Senior Analyst here at Nine Lanterns, will be presenting at the ELearning Association's PechaKucha evening on 27th November 2014 at the Centre for Adult Education in Melbourne. 

The title for James' presentation is 'Personalised Learning Environments' and comes hot on the heels of his presentation on two subject matters at the ELLTA Conference in Penang, Malaysia on 17-19 November; Connected Learning and Learner Engagement. 

'PechaKucha' is a presentation style where 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds, meaning presentations are only 6 minutes and 40 seconds in total.

ELearning Association Showcase - 9th October - FREE event!

Nine Lanterns will be exhibiting at the ELearning Association Showcase this Thursday - 9th October at the KPMG Building in Melbourne's CBD. 

The Showcase is your opportunity to discover the best and brightest of our eLearning community. Demonstrations of e-learning projects will include finalists of the 2014 eLearning Excellence Awards and members of the Association.

Nine Lanterns have been nominated as finalists in three separate categories at the awards and will be showcasing the nominations at the event.

Nine Lanterns' Online Learning Experts set to present throughout Asia-Pacific!

Nine Lanterns' Online Learning Experts have been invited to present at events across Asia-Pacific this coming Spring/Summer.  

James Ballard, our Senior Analyst and self-confessed Moodle expert, will present papers on two subject matters at the ELLTA Conference in Penang, Malaysia on 17-19 November; Connected Learning and Learner Engagement. James will also present on Leaner Engagement at the HETL 2015 Conference Utah Valley University, Utah, USA,  on 20-22 January 2015.
